Firearm Transfers

Purchase Online or at an Out of State Gun Store:

• Select “Chattanooga Bar Stools & More” as your receiving FFL or tell the store to ship it to us.
• Complete the checkout process
• Your firearm will ship to us (We have no control over how long that takes. That is the seller’s responsibility as well as the delivery service. It is out of our hands)
• We will call you as soon as we receive it to arrange a time for you to fill out the paperwork and pick it up if you are approved
• Come in to our office, fill out the transfer form (Called a Form 4473) and we will run your background check with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI)
• If approved, pay our transfer fee and you leave with your firearm! 🙂
  
  If NOT approved, we can advise you of your options which may include appealing the TBI’s decision, returning the firearm, etc.

* If we are not listed as a receiving FFL many sites allow you to select “My FFL Is Not Listed” and most likely will instruct you to request your receiving FFL to submit their information. Just tell us who to send it to and we will take care of it immediately

Purchase From an Individual Outside of Tennessee:

• Have the person you are purchasing from review their state’s laws as well as the shipping company’s policy on shipping firearms to make sure they are complying with all applicable rules and laws. This is THEIR responsibility.
• Have the seller photocopy their Driver’s License or State ID and enclose it with the firearm.
• Have the seller ship the UNLOADED firearm to us at:

• We will call you when we receive it

Yes. Although we do not stock any firearms, I can legally sell firearms and have access to several distributors and manufacturers. However, you will most likely save money by buying online or from an individual and allowing us to handle the paperwork and background check. We must collect Tennessee sales tax if we sell you a firearm while many online stores do not yet collect tax for internet sales (although TN does have a “Use Tax” that you are supposed to file when buying products online that were not taxed…but no one ever does).
